Greek Orthodox weddings are fit for a king and queen…literally! If you have attended or seen pictures of a Greek Orthodox wedding you might wonder the significance of the bride and groom wearing a crown united by a ribbon. The crowns and the ribbon, otherwise known as the stefana, are blessed by the priest and worn by the bride and groom to symbolize the glory that they recieve on the day they become one. The precious crowns stay with the couple forever, always reminding them of their unity and honor that they received on their special day!
