Party Favors with a lasting legacy!

Party Favors…chocolates, mints, a small themed momento perhaps. All lovely gestures to say thank you for coming and you are special. But what if you could really give your guests a gift that would not be left on the table, or forgotten by the time they hit the dance floor? What if you gave your guests a gift that meant the world to someone? Recently, K. and I were honored to attend our dear friends’ wedding. It was romantic, beautiful and one of those evenings where everyone wanted to be in love because of the love this couple embodied. It showed in every detail of their wedding. If you follow our blog, you know K. and I direct a camp for adults and children with disabilities. This couple met and fell in love while volunteering at our camp. They wanted to give back to a place that had given to them, as they put it, the love of their life.

In lieu of chocolates or mints, they made a donation in the name of each of their guests to ReCreation Camp. That night, K. and I were presented with a check for the amount they would have spent on the favors to go towards our beloved Campers. What a gift they gave their guests and to Camp. Each guest felt as though they contributed to something grand that night and our campers are now blessed as that money will truly help to give them more programs this summer!

So, when you are planning your next fete…don’t opt for the traditional, but instead go for what will last and what will make you happy. Leave a legacy!
