While some of us have come up with creative candle displays to put our hearth to good use, why not allow spring and all its beautiful colors to spring forth! Here are some great ideas we like:
Flowers, plants or even sea shells can find an unexpected home in your fireplace!

Use the fireplace as a frame for some eye-catching objects!
Place a large mirror in front of your fireplace to make the room look larger and to bounce of the already bright colors in a space!

At minimum, a day of coordinator is so crucial. I was lucky enough to have a friend who had coordinated a number of weddings in the past volunteer to be my day-of (I gifted her generously, though). It just takes a huge load off the bride and your family. If you don’t have a budget for it, ask around, you never know who might have some experience in wedding coordination. (the venue coordinator always has the venue’s wants and needs at the top of his/her mind, even if it doesn’t jive with what you want or have discussed!)
I had a very (ahem) similar fight with my mom on hiring a wedding coordinator for my wedding and was so glad that I did. No matter how much I anticipated for things to go wrong (obviously hoping for the best) I’m so glad I wasn’t the one that had to witness it all go wrong. I was stress free knowing my coordinator had it under control.
