J.Crew, BCBG, The Limited, White House|Black Market and Anthropologie are just some of the slew of companies that are now producing a line of wedding dresses for their loyal customers, the relaxed couple and/or the budget-conscience bride. Heck, even Nordstrom has launched a wedding shop! Be still my heart!
If ornate ball gowns and designer runway frocks are not your style these companies have responded in earnest and have selections that range from simple and sweet to ruffled and refined and on average cost half the amount of the average bridal gown and are still absolutely fabulous! (According to the 21,000 brides that responded to the Knot.com’s annual survey, brides spent an average of $1,134 on their gowns in 2009.)
