Intertwined Events not only wants to help you have the perfect wedding day, but we also want to help you transition smoothly into your newly intertwined life! Our new series will do just that – bringing tips and tricks from wedding licenses and name changes to getting the biggest bang for your buck!
First topic of Wedding 101: Budget Priorities! Trust us, ladies, we know how many little aspects there are to planning your wedding day! What is worth spending money on? What is worth saving? First, in order to personalize your big day, you must prioritize. Make a list of your MUST haves! Are you and your soon to be hubby major foodies – hire that top caterer. Do you love music – use the over-the-top cover band. Put your obsessions at the top of your list and work your way down!
While you may have some serious must-haves at your wedding there is still a need to put on a beautiful and eye-catching event for your wedding – and that can be very costly, but we are going to share with you the best areas to splurge and the right areas to save!
If you are getting married in a standard ballroom you may want to drape and carpet the space in order to transform it. Way out of your budget? Uplighting can transform a space in the same way without being a budget breaker! Use a skilled team to uplight and pinspot centerpieces and the cake! This aspect will truly set the mood of the room, making things sparkle and look bigger and better then they already are. And don’t worry about that carpet – tables, chairs and linens will cover most of it, so ensure your selections in those categories are high-impact and worth the spend. (More on that tomorrow!)
