INTERTWINED EVENT: COCKTAIL BRIDAL SHOWER FOR MEGHAN

Do you love glitter, gold, glam and a whole lot of sparkle? Then this bridal shower is for you!

Meghan of Intertwined Events loves the glam life, and her shower completely reflected her personality. Decorated with gold sparkle linens and black and gold chiavari chairs, the space was set for an intimate and glamorous cocktail party. Meghan’s wedding theme was based around her signature line, “XOXO,” which was included throughout her shower.

For entertainment, since she loves wine, and doesn’t prefer present bingo, we decided to do a food and wine pairing cocktail hour. Each passed appetizer was paired with a wine that guests could try throughout the night. Of course we had to start the night though with one of Meghan’s favorite drinks, and the signature drink for the night, a Peach Bellini!

As a memento, guest’s were asked to write postcards for the bride and groom, which they will receive throughout their first year of marriage.

The centerpieces, created with love by family, complimented the sparkle linen with the mercury glass containers and neutral florals.

Accessories were added to the event by including gold “XO” balloons behind the bride’s present opening chair, an XOXO banner, engagement photos of the happy couple, and black and white striped ribbon on containers and glassware. A secret story to the XO Balloons was as we were getting everything out of the car, we popped the X…we couldn’t just have an O balloon, so we frantically searched for the nearest party store, had the balloon blown up from the accidental hole, and covered the hole with duck tape! Thank god the balloons didn’t turn too much for the guests to see!
