Fab Friday Find!

Thanksgivingis the only thing standing between us and the holidays, and we’ve got one thing on our minds‚Äîpresents. Yes, we’ve already bookmarked “suggestions” from Tiffany & Co.’s fall collection magazine we just got in the mail today. Yes, my wishlist is just days away from magically making it’s way to the refrigerator.

But even as a new flatscreen and my two favorite men, Michael Kors and Marc Jacobs, quickly jumped to the top of my list, I remembered something my mom always told me that guaranteed a sigh: “it’s better to give than to receive.” I had one of those frustrating moments where I had to admit, yet, again(in my head of course): Mom, you are always right.

That’s why this Fab Friday, instead of featuring something fabulous you can get, we’re highlighting something fabulous you can give.

As women, we love Soles4Souls, a nonprofit organization devoted to providing shoes for millions of kids and adults in need. Inspired after the 2004 tsunami devastated Southeast Asia, Founder and CEO Wayne Elsey created the organization. Soles4Souls has since given away nearly 12 million pairs of new and gently worn shoes, with a pair donated every seven seconds.
You can help by digging into your closet for that pair of shoes you know you wear about once every two years, but can’t seem to part with. We know it’s tough, but in the spirit of the holidays, think of it as a gift for your soul. And think: it’s almost better than unwrapping a rose gold Tiffany ring on Christmas morning. Almost…
