Happiness is…Flowers Just Because!

My amazing, wonderful, handsome and oh did I mention AMAZING boyfriend came home from running errands the other day with a bouquet of pink roses for me. There was no special occasion, no anniversary, holiday, birthday, (not even an apology needed.) He said he got them for be “JUST BECAUSE!”
There is no better reason in the world to do something, anything, for another than for no reason at all. The flowers that are wonderfully displayed in my best vase, on my desk, so I can look at them often are so romantic and make me feel so special and so loved.
Happiness is…a gift just because!

My most pressing question –and one that I’m having difficulty getting an answer to — is: Is it okay to not pick a color theme?
I’m using a lot of different colors, and because I’m going vintage I have a lot of mix-and-match old things. Of course I’m choosing things that don’t clash, but wonder if I’ll regret not picking one color as a keynote to tie it all together.
My friend Kristin never ever settled. Never let a guy treat her poorly and never rushed into what she shouldn’t have. She just got engaged last saturday to someone who makes her smile bigger than I’ve ever seen before. She needs a beautiful garter to help her kick off her wedding planning process! 🙂

Yep, that sounds like me! I will shine like I’ve never shined before on my wedding day. Can’t Wait!

I nominate myself! Actually, I nominate all brides. Every woman getting married should have her own brilliant moment to shine like no other.
My daughter and her fianc é are doing everything they can to pay for their wedding by themselves. Her fierce determination never ceases to amaze me. And I have faith that her big day will be everything she ever dreamed of. My daughter, Jacqueline, will make a brilliant bride!
