Easter is the perfect occasion to host a Spring Time brunch! This is the perfect time to pull out all the stops and use a colorful spring palette of pastels and sherbet inspired linens! Because spring is a time a renewal and freshness – incorporate that into your décor and menu! Using fresh cut flowers and moss for the tablescapes adds a fun, natural feel. In addition, hand painted hard-boiled eggs in a cake stand is just what the Easter Bunny ordered! Fresh fruits and berries are an awesome way to incorporate the brightness of spring! Serving egg dishes is also a fun way to incorporate the day, deviled eggs, ham quiche, etc are crowd favorites. (We love any of the recipes from the Barefoot Contessa!)
With a brunch, you want to keep the drinks light and festive! We love the idea of a champagne bar or muddling bar with orange juice, peach nectar, and cranberry juice or various spring fruits and mint so that your guests can mix up a special drink! This adds a fun flair to the traditional serving.
For the kids, provide a fun, high energy Easter Egg Hunt outdoors! Everyone will enjoy watching the kids run around and collect as many eggs as they can!
Because some of your guests may be arriving after a church service, encourage them to stay in their Sunday’s best – this allows people to feel comfortable arriving in spring-time dresses that will make pictures simply adorable!
Happy Brunching!
