The other night I had what can only be classified as a true girls night in. My best friend from high school came over and we made dinner, went on a walk, gave our selves facials and mini – mani/pedi’s and of course watched an unnecessary but fabulous romantic comedy of some sort. It was a great night and ladies I encourage you to take a night off and treat yourself. But that goes back to Be Present and Rested, Refreshed, Empowered.
The reason I am writing today is to discuss the perfect nail polish. I was looking at the choices in my own selection the other night and thinking about how fun it must be for a bride to pick just the right shade for her nails for the moment the ring is slid on her finger and she says “I DO.”
I went to the palette playground for polish that is OPI. And, the names of the shades are just as good, if not better, than the color choice itself.
My favorites:
Mimosas for Mr. and Mrs.
Otherwise Engaged
Italian Love Affair (You know I would!)
Catch the Garter
Altar Ego

So pretty! I swear by Ulta’s “Sweet Nothings” which looks a lot like “Otherwise Engaged” above but is a lot cheaper 🙂
Great advice! I’ve only been a bridesmaid once and I could definitely have used this advice before I did. Luckily I did have experience as a bride, so I knew what she was going through.
Being there for events if possible is something that I found particularly important as a bride and a bridesmaid. One of my BMs flew down from SF for each and every one of my events and it meant the WORLD to me (I told her I’d understand if she didn’t want to). So when I was a BM and living in Sac (for an OC wedding) I made it my priority to be there in planning activities, showers, bachelorettes, you name it.
Thank you for your sweet introduction at the begining of this post! You are both so fabulous!
