REAL BABY SHOWER: LET’S MONKEY AROUND!

There was no monkey business with us during this baby shower…or maybe just a little bit. Intertwined Events had the sweetest time working with Apicturelife photography, Sweets Indeed, Cherish Paperie, Elegant By Design Floral Studio, and La Tavola Linens planning this monkey themed baby shower.

This baby shower was fit for a true monkey; refreshments included banana slush punch, which was used to washed down the homemade monkey bread – yummy! But everyone really went Bananas for the S’mores bar – created and designed by Sweets Indeed with custom flavors such as Chunky Monkey with banana chocolate chip cookies, caramel swirl marshmallows, and melted peanut butter cups! Did we mention that every guest got to take home a goody bag from the S’mores table. Delish!

When everyone was good and giddy from their sugar high, guests monkey’d around with fun games like Celebrity Baby Match and Baby Bingo! But the sweetest touch, for this new-mom-to-be was when each friend wrote a message of love and encouragement on a custom designed postcard fromCherish Paperie. Intertwined will be sending the mom one card a month for the first year of the baby’s life!

Instead of decorating the place with an over the top jungle theme, delicate “monkey tales” accompanied rustic, woodsy flowers designed by Elegant By Design Floral Studio adorned the room along with votives and other classy monkey paper goods. Monkey themed baby clothes were hung with clothespins and lounge furniture was given a cozy touch with nursery blankets and monkey sock puppets (all gifts for the mom-to-be to take home with her!)
