A Laid-Back Garden Party Wedding Full of Color and Charm!

Emily and Connor’s wedding was one of those joy-filled days where the design, the couple, and the energy all came together in the most magical way! From the very beginning, they told us they wanted something that felt like a summery garden party—laid-back, colorful, and fun—with just the right amount of funky flair!

Set against the charming backdrop of the Santa Barbara Historical Museum, the celebration had the perfect mix of California vibes and timeless Spanish-style architecture. The venue’s warm textures and natural beauty were the ideal canvas for the colorful design we brought to life. The ceremony space was a total floral dream thanks to the oh-so talented, Lily Roden Floral Studio: a lush aisle lined with vibrant, textural blooms in peach, coral, blush and soft greens. Oversized arrangements in modern white vessels gave everything a fresh, organic feel, while the overhead café lights added that perfect twinkle. The goal was to create something romantic but not overly formal, and the setting struck that balance effortlessly.

For the reception, we leaned into the garden party vibe with rattan chairs, soft patterned linens, and florals that looked like they had just been picked from the most beautiful backyard. Each table had a slightly different arrangement to keep things dynamic and organic, with pops of chamomile, ranunculus, and garden roses scattered throughout. The modern wood table numbers and taper candles added a slightly earthy, boho-modern touch that grounded the entire look.

And let’s not forget the dance floor! We layout was designed around a bold checkered dance floor that invited everyone to let loose as the sun set and the music turned up! It was a night full of laughter, clinking glasses, and nonstop good vibes—not to mention a sweet treat from Santa Barbara’s finest, McConnell’s Ice Cream!
