Set against the rolling hills of Malibu, Erica and Nick’s wedding weekend embraced a modern, organic aesthetic that felt beautifully connected to its surroundings. A palette of soft neutrals, abundant white florals, natural textures, and understated details brought a sense of effortless refinement to the celebration, creating an experience that felt as inviting as it was elevated.
The weekend began with an intimate rehearsal dinner at Westlake Village Inn, where a thoughtfully layered tablescape set the tone for the festivities ahead. Florals by The Mad Florist complemented stationery and signage by It’s Paper Cliche, while linens from Luxe Linen added softness and texture to the setting. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Erica and Nick began their wedding weekend with an evening centered on time together.
On their wedding day, the natural beauty of Cielo Farms became an integral part of the design. An aisle lined with abundant white florals created a striking focal point against the landscape, while warm wood seating and sculptural arrangements in organic vessels balanced the ceremony’s romantic details with a more modern touch. Every element felt intentional without competing with the setting, allowing the surrounding hills and open sky to remain part of the guest experience.
As the celebration transitioned to the reception, the design carried that same understated elegance to the table. Crisp linens, delicate floral arrangements, candlelight, and natural accents created an inviting atmosphere, with details that felt collected rather than overly styled. Pau Smith Group brought guests together over a thoughtfully curated dining experience, while Crowd Theory Entertainment set the tone for an evening of celebration. A custom cake by The Butter End offered a sweet finishing touch, with Weddings by Crafted Content capturing the weekend’s details and moments on film.
The festivities continued with an after-party at Crawford’s Social, extending the celebration well beyond the wedding day. From the intimate gathering that began the weekend to the final evening spent together, each setting offered a different expression of Erica and Nick’s vision while maintaining a thoughtful sense of continuity throughout.
It was a joy for Intertwined Events to plan and design this celebration, bringing together a talented team to create a wedding weekend that felt personal, considered and true to the couple.
