AN INTERTWINED EVENT: HOTEL DEL WEDDING

Southern California is one of the world’s most coveted wedding and vacation destinations. And, there are some seriously iconic places to stay and celebrate. We love helping out-of-town brides with there destination weddings, here, and this Hotel Del Wedding for a Seattle couple is a definite favorite! Who doesn’t love the Hotel Del!? The venue was perfect as it has so much history and for a group of people coming from the North West, it was just the right spot to bring them straight to the Pacific Ocean, enjoying the California sunshine and wedding celebration!

The couple, Tamara and Brent, wanted to do something really modern and clean with pops of bright colors – yes please! We incorporated royal blue, lime and fuchsia through the design to create some seriously awesome focal points.

Deconstructed florals framed the ceremony site with the Pacific Ocean and a setting sun as the backdrop to their vows. Color petals in pretty patterns adorned the aisle. In the ballroom, bright uplighting and colored linens and chair cushions continued the modern theme. The centerpieces were comprised of three different designs – deconstructed, elongated boxes, or round orbs filled with florals. Each was very unique and offered a diversified look to each tablescape. We especially loved the type of florals used and the addition of the wire elements that added even more color! All of the elements worked together to transform the room from traditional to trendy!

Speaking of trends… can we please talk about the fashion statements this wedding made! From the girls all wearing garters, to the guys standout colored ties against crisp grey suits, to the brides statement necklace and shoes as her something blue – everyone was ready to walk the aisle like a runway! But, our most favorite style was rocked by the groomsmen in their pink Sperry’s!

Another yummy element was the couple’s decision to forgo the traditional wedding cake for a an ice cream bar from Moo Time Creamery, the best ice cream place (in Katie’s opinion!) and the in-house ice cream shop at Hotel Del!

Being from Seattle, Tamara and Brent are HUGE Seahawk Football Fans! Along with their color palette selection to reflect the team’s colors, they also had personalized jersey’s made with their name and wedding date as the numbers. The jerseys were placed over the Bride and Groom’s chairs, proudly on display for all! They were very excited to wear their jersey’s after the wedding and attribute the big Super Bowl win to their lucky duds!
