WHAT FLOWERS ARE IN SEASON FOR YOUR WEDDING

Florals play an important part of wedding and event décor. In order to keep your spend within reasonable limits (10-15% of your budget), it is important to know what flowers are in season for your wedding or event. By utilizing what is in season, you can help keep the cost down and still have stunning floral arrangements.

Winter

Winter events look gorgeous with beautiful snow-white florals. Oriental hybrid lilies, phlenopis orchids, gardenias, magnolias, ranunculus and stephanotis look fabulous in arrangements. Add pops of bold hues from hydrangeas, dahlias, delphinium, peonies, poppies and amaryllises.

Spring

Florals in pastel hues work wonderfully with spring events. Roses, sweet peas, tweedia, cydidium orchids, peonies, anemone, and ranunculus add sweet touches to spring floral arrangements. Deeper colors from scaboisas, stock, delphinium, freesias, hydrangea, calla lilies, irises and hyacinths pair perfectly with lighter blossoms.

Summer

Bright colors look amazing in the summer! Try adding daffodils, poppies, spider chrysanthemums, roses and orchids to intensify the sunny appeal. Cheery purple shades fromZinnias, alstroemeria, delphinium, peonies, freesias, matsumoto asters and stock also look stunning in summer months.

Fall

Embrace an autumn color pallet with décor and florals. Snapdragons, poppies, calla lilies, Asiatic lilies, bi-colored roses, dahlias, yarrow, gerbera daises, celosia and leacadendrons help incorporate fall hues effortlessly. Year Round

Filler stems are available year round to enhance floral arrangements. Typically more cost effective, filler stems can add dimension, height and texture to flowers, creating stunning asymmetrical arrangements. Baby’s breath, hypericum, queens anne lace, waxflowers, statice sinuate, montecasino aster, limonium and solidagos are flawless ways to add depth to floral arrangements.
