Memorable Monday: All Star Camper Escape

Five times a year Meghan and I get the opportunity to direct a non profit camp called ReCreation Camp. It’s the best thing we do within our lives and we are so grateful every time we arrive at Marywood and see all those involved with camp. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a ton of work, but it’s worth every email, phone call and to do list we get through in order to arrive back at “happiness hill” as some like to call it!

This past weekend we joined together with 46 amazing campers and over 50 of the best people we’ve ever met and put on a weekend escape that gave us that little dose of camp we all need.

Thanks to The Wedding Chicks for designing our amazing yellow shirts, to the Long Beach Aquarium for having some of the best staff we’ve ever come across, to Marywood for hosting us and toCatholic Charities of Orange County for their support!

We are already looking forward to the next time we all meet…ReCreation 2011!
