Where do we even begin to describe this awesome and fun Grateful Dead inspired wedding?! To start, Monique and Casey said their “I Do’s” in the same Catholic church as Casey’s parents. They then continued the celebration at The Langham Huntington in Pasadena where Casey’s parents had their reception also. So sweet! However, the sentimental aspect does not stop there. Casey and his brother bonded over Grateful Dead concerts as they grieved their father’s passing since their father loved the band. Then when Casey and Monique met, he started bringing her to the concerts, and it became their favorite thing to do together!
The design was quite a challenge with the venue being such a lavish ballroom with blush and sage walls, but we made it work with a softened rainbow palette including sage, blush, burgundy, mustard, and deep teal with brushed gold accents. The couple incorporated their favorite Grateful Dead song “They Love each Other, Lord you can see it’s true” in cocktail napkins, they used a record player and vintage records as their guest book, they incorporated their names into the specialty cocktails. We even included a custom sage tie dye design in the dance floor, escort display wall and the cake. It all came together so beautifully, and the bride and groom had the best night!
This wedding was one of our favorites and it was even featured on The Knot! Scroll down to see this fun wedding captured by the amazing Gregory Ross!
